October is harvest month for most the area wineries, thus we celebrate harvest with the Art of Food. Chester County has many wonderful artisanal food businesses, including the Chester County Artisan Cheese group of a dozen local cheese makers, local chocolate makers including Eclat, Bridge Street, Bevans, and Dipped Delights, coffee roasters and even icecream. October is a perfect time to indulge in a delicious food pairing with wine and any of the selected food artisans for a harvest treat. This month 8 wineries will be highlighting their partnership with various artisanal foods. Click on the winery name and that will send you to the winery website where you can get more detailed information.
October is also the landmark "Founder's Exhibition" of 17 never before seen together N.C. Wyeth paintings at The Chester County Art Association October 10-18. To help promote this important exhibition, each of the wineries listed below will have art cards with one image from the N.C. Wyeth exhibition. If you collect 5 or more different cards, you may receive two for one admission at the door to the Chester County art show. If you write your name and contact information on the back of the card, you may be the lucky winner of a basket of Chester County wines from our area wineries. This art card collection game is free, with no obligation to purchase anything, and we hope that it will encourage you to visit different wineries in the area, and go to the Chester County Art Association Exhibition. N.C. Wyeth not only helped to great the art and culture environment of the Brandywine Valley, but also helped found Chester County Art Association in 1932. Come for the wine and enjoy the art!
